As we are slowly approaching the end of Draft Season and turning our focus towards the first kick-off of the season less than a week away, we here at The Draft Society are also turning our efforts towards giving you, our readers and listeners, content for the upcoming 10 months and 38 Gameweeks.
Weekly Content
Just like the past 5 years, we will be offering a mixture of articles, podcasts, trackers, projections and tools for the upcoming season. We have decided to change things up a bit, based on your feedback at the end of last season to better suit your habits and to be able to better help you achieve league domination.
Articles
As always, our articles will form the spine of all of our weekly content throughout the season. We are proud to say, that at the time of publishing, this article is our 989th to appear on our site, which should serve as a guarantee that we will keep grinding out content all through the season and the seasons to come.
Many of you will be familiar with our articles, but we will offer a short piece of insight into how each should be viewed and interpreted. We have put together a content plan on what you can expect from us weekly:
Waivers (Free/Inner Circle) - @BantahB
Our most viewed and beloved articles, the Weekly Waiver articles bring you players we suggest picking up from the Waiver Wire. Sanjy will carefully choose 6 players who have the best chance to offer you starter-level value and might be available on any given Waiver Wire for the GW in question. League size and activity make all waiver wires different, so we had to come up with an objective metric to select the players we recommend. For this article, we will aim to recommend players based on Fantrax and Sleeper rostered percentages and try to recommend players rostered in less than 40% of leagues.
This season, the Waivers article will feature 6 players, 3 of them free to check out for all readers, but the other 3 will only be available to those who have signed up for the Ultimate Pass, the Season Pass or the Monthly Pass.
Ghost Point Hunters (Free) - @CNFC82
Ryan has been writing the Ghost Point Hunters article since the inception of our site. As a matter of fact, its first iteration was one of the first articles on our site. For all the years we have been running the Inner Circle, this article has been privy to a select few (hundred or thousand) people who have subscribed to the Inner Circle. Not. Any. More. For the 24/25 season, we have decided to add GPH to our offering of free articles.
GPH looks at the previous week's ghost points (non-goals/assists/clean sheet points) and aims to look deeper into trends and possible future ghosting abilities for all players involved. It’s a lovely dive into what separates our beautiful game from the others.
Trade Advice + Strategy (Inner Circle) - @DraftGenie
You all were clear in our end-of-season feedback form: We need to bring back trade advice articles. You asked, we listened, and who better to write them, than the trade master himself, Draft Genie.
Inner Circle members will be treated to Genie's sometimes unconventional tactics as well as players who he suggests you should be trading in/out. These articles will focus on more long-term value for all players involved. Think sell-high, buy-low.
Sleepers XI (Free) - @Tottiandor
Another one of our articles that has been going since the start. The FF Chaps started it, Gavin continued it and this season it is on Totti to continue the tradition. The premise is simple. A starting XI of players who are low rostered and might be available in your leagues, even post-waivers, who could do a job for you in the upcoming gameweek. There might be players who should be held longer but the article's main focus is short-term value for the upcoming weekend. The starting XI will consist of players, who are projected to start but the bench will feature players who might not be likely to start, but if they do, will be considered must-adds for their high upside.
Ranks, Projections, & Stats
Robbie and DraftLad will provide you with all the data you need to plan your moves and lineup decisions for the upcoming gameweek. Weekly Rest of Season Ranks, Weekly Projected Points, Projected Lineups, Fixture Difficulty Tracker, Ghost Point Tracker, Set Piece Taker Tracker and the Useful Draft Metrics will all be updated for every gameweek and all of that data will be then fed into the Fantasy Toolkit, a tool that uses all the data available on our website to give you bespoke advice, tailored to your team/league.
Fantasy Toolkit
Our most used feature last season, the Fantasy toolkit, hooks directly into your Fantrax leagues (via APIs) to connect our content to your specific league(s) and give you only the most relevant advice. For example you can get all the below:
Personalized recommendations for waiver/free agent adds and drops based on our Weekly Projections, ROS ranks, FDT and who’s available in your league!
Recommendations for your optimal lineup(s) based on Weekly Projections & Predicted Lineups to give you the best chance to beat your opponent?
Matchup projections for your upcoming matchup(s) based on Weekly Projections!
Trade evaluations & calculations for trades you’re considering based on ROS ranks!
Data on most added/dropped players in all community leagues and the availability of said players in your leagues, such that you can follow wisdom of the crowd to better your team!
Power rankings of all the teams in your league based on their current and ROS roster strength!
Ability to plan for future/playoff gameweeks by looking at your player's future matchups and projections and expected future value!
Podcast
The Key Pass Collective is the only weekly Draft PL fantasy podcast around that has been going for 5+ years. Joe, Ryan and Totti usually record live on Youtube at 5:30pm ET on Wednesdays weekly, with the occasional special feature here and there. Follow our YouTube channel and Twitter to get notified when we schedule a live stream!
Special Features
Now and again, we like to do something special! Our statheads Robbie And DraftLad will sometimes collab on a Deep Dive article montly, where they dissect a special segment, trend or interesting notion in relation to our Draft PL game. The Key Pass Collective boys have been known to feature guests, record special quiz episodes and such, while Sanjy has had multiple forays into hosting Twitter spaces before the Saturday kickoffs to help with last-minute dilemmas.
