Waiver Wire Gameweek 6

Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 6 targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Fabio Carvalho (Ros 32%)

Prospects: There was a lot of speculation as to who would replace Wissa after his injury, alongside Mbeumo, for the next few gameweeks as the aforementioned DR Congo FWD was ruled out of action for the next couple of months. Therefore, many Fantrax managers focused their attention on Schade during the Gameweek 5 Waivers, especially after Thomas Frank spoke so highly of the German MID during his prematch pressers. However, it was young Fabio who got the nod versus Spurs. This came as a massive shock to many people, as Carvalho had only started for Brentford in the EFL Cup. Nevertheless, according to our Fixture Difficulty Tracker, Brentford MIDs have the 2nd best rating from Gameweek 6 to 8, so it makes sense to grab Carvalho now. He scored 7.5 ghost points in his only start, which is a great sign for a MID-3/4, particularly as he has already shown that he can get attacking returns after scoring 1 goal and getting 2 assists in his last EFL cup appearance.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.

Iliman Ndiaye (Ros 24%)

Prospects: If you're looking for a FWD-2/3 striker, Ndiaye could be your guy. Since Ndiaye's 1st start in Gameweek 3, he has scored the 2nd most ghost points of all Everton outfielders (26.25), only behind McNeil. In Gameweek 5, Ndiaye got his first goal for the season as part of his 22.25 point haul, along with 4 key passes. The Senegalese FWD seems to have nailed his spot on the left side for the Toffee's attack and boy do Everton need his goals. They currently sit 19th in the table and are already part of the relegation scrap. Over the next 3 gameweeks, our Fixture Difficulty Tracker has Everton FWDs as the 5th best option and their fixtures only get easier after that. Grab him while you can!

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 3-4 FAB to get him.

Konstantinos Mavropanos (Ros 34%)

Prospects: Lopetegui has had a very inconsistent and frustrating start with his new Hammers team this season. The London club have registered 1 win, 1 draw and 3 losses, with all 3 losses coming at home. Despite the poor results, there has still been at least one positive factor and that is Mavropanos' points output. Since the start of the season, Mavropanos has scored the most ghost points of all West Ham players and shows no sign of slowing down either. Even in games that the Hammers have conceded 3 goals, Mavropanos has still come out on the positive side of points! If you need a DEF-3/4 for a few gameweeks, West Ham DEFs have the 2nd best rating of all players, so he's a great short-term stash until the International Break.

Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
