Our Gameweek 6 Sleepers XI article provides Draft managers with a lineup of Fantasy EPL hidden gems. Our starting eleven of Draft Premier League differential picks will help you find a golden ticket to a big score this weekend! These hints and tips will give you a better chance of picking up an all-important victory, as any one of these under-the-radar picks could make the difference in a head-to-head game!
We'll be focusing on players that will bring us not only attacking returns or clean sheets, but also those players that score Ghost Points in the sophisticated and statistics based Fantrax Scoring System!
Fantasy EPL Gameweek 6 Sleepers XI
For this article, we use the percentage rostered calculation from Fantrax and Sleeper. Our only rule is that each player we highlight is rostered in 60% of leagues or fewer at the time of writing. Therefore, there's a good chance some of these players will be free agents in your Draft league! As always, we'll take form, fixtures, projected points, and a healthy dose of intuition into account to make our selections.
Finally!! GW5 brought our first 100+ GW with only 3 outfielders (Schade, Sugawara, Willock) not performing up to par. The highlights included attacking returns from all 3 forwards: Dhurán (11.5), Mavididi (21.5) and Sancho (9.5) and vintage ghosting performances from Ndidi (13) and Damsgaard (12.25) with the defense pitching in with an assist from JPVH (13) and great ghosting from Greaves (8.25). Onwards and upwards! (GW5 score: 106.25)
The Sleepers XI table below includes a full team of Starters, as well as 5 Reserves - high-upside players with some question marks around whether or not they'll start in Gameweek 5. So keep an eye out when lineups are announced and pick them up if you see them starting, especially if you need to fill a spot on your roster. Read on below for the rationale behind each of the Starter selections.
Aaron Ramsdale (G, Southampton)
Ramsdale has been a top goalkeeper for fantasy purposes ever since he signed for the Saints. He is the perfect combination of a good shot-stopper behind a bad defense that gives up a ton of shots. With 2 points gained for every shot stopped, he is racking up points from the 16 shots he has faced so far in 3 games. On Monday night, we could be in for the perfect storm for Ramsdale as Southampton prepare to face Bournemouth, who lead the league in shots taken. I 100% back Rams to end up with a double-digit score regardless of how many they concede.
Dara O'Shea (D, Ipswich)
We went with Greaves last week and he ended up with a very nice 8.25 points, but his partner in crime, the Irish Wall went a bit better and scored 11 with a yellow. He hits the ghost trifecta for any valuable defender by amassing Interceptions, Clearances and Aerials. We fell in love with him at Burnley, a breeding ground for fantasy-relevant CBs, and now he is continuing on his path to becoming a fantasy legend. Ipswich have been resilient and hard to beat and have a decent schedule coming up, so I don’t expect him to stay under the 60% threshold for selection for long. PICK HIM UP!
Dean Huijsen (D, Bournemouth)
A pre-draft sleeper pick of mine went off big in GW1 with a ton of marauding runs and a double digit ghost performance against Forest. He was back in the XI against Liverpool but only got 0.25 points while conceding 3 and getting a yellow, which amounts to a 6.25 ghost performance against one of the best teams in the country. This week he is facing one of the worst teams in the division. The only qualms one might have about relying on him is that they play the last game of the GW, meaning you will have to have cover or eye up Senesi or Zabarnyi on free agency if Huijsen doesn't get the nod.
Nikola Milenkovic (D, Nottingham Forest)
The Serbian big-man was expected to challenge Wily Boly for a starting spot at Forest, but he dispatched with the fantasy favourite with consummate ease and is now one of the first names on the team sheet.. For fantasy purposes, he looks like one of your typical active, aerially dominant CBs. Ha gets most of his points from Aerials, Clearances and Blocked Shots. Forest are facing a Fulham team full of confidence and one that loves a cross. I do not expect Milenkovic to keep a CS, but even without that, his ghosts should be enough for a decent score.
Sepp van der Berg (D, Brentford)
We are rounding up our defense with another player who had a noteworthy ghost performance in GW3. The former Liverpool youngster got 11 ghosts against Spurs in a back five along with Collins and Pinnock. Interestingly, he dominated aerials ahead of two of the traditionally more aerially able CBs, which is a trend worth monitoring. Brentford are very short-staffed up front, so they will need to be very solid at the back to stand a chance of not getting sucked into another relegation scrap. They host winless and reeling West Ham this weekend where they can start trying to put together a run involving clean sheets, not just defensive ghosts.
Jesper Lindstrom (M, Everton)
There isn’t a lot of good to be said about Everton lately IRL or fantasy. Aside from McNeil and Ndiaye, their players have been a steaming pile of poo for fantasy purposes. That is before Jesper Lindstrom took to the field last weekend for his first start and went ahead and got 9 ghosts in just 60 minutes. Everton have another good chance to get their first win of the season when they face a struggling Palace, who are not only winless themselves but have not even been in the lead in any game thus far this season.
Ryan Christie (M, Bournemouth)
The Genie-Favourite already featured in our XI two weeks ago, before the only one of his games with a decent score (7.5). It looks like he is trying to beat some kind of record to get to 5 yellow cards quickest (he has 3 in 5 games), which is not helping his final scores nor are his early substitutions. That said, he is a nailed-on starter, who has historically been a very good point-getter (8.3 gPPS in 23/24), and is facing arguably the worst team in the division, Southampton. We are hoping he starts recapturing his form on Monday.
Tyler Dibling (M, Southampton)
Our penultimate player from the Monday night South Coast Derby, young Tyler Dibling, is in a special spot. He is one of those niche players, who is almost 100% rostered in big Community Leagues (Comm League, IGL and Discord Super-league) but is still criminally under-rostered globally at only 21%. He is one of very few exciting players on Southampton right now. The right winger is incisive, attacking-minded, strong and very dribbly. Archer’s penalty miss (he forced the pen) means he cannot boast 3 double-digit scores in a row, but while I expect Bournemouth to beat the Saints, D-r-ibling is a must-start anyway.
Jefferson Lerma (M, Crystal Palace)
The Colombian defensive mid has only started one game so far this season, but with Doucure injured, he is likely to have a good run in the heart of the defense as Palace look to stop the rot in the upcoming weeks. I usually try to shy away from suggesting defensive mids for streams as they rarely bring matchup-altering points to your team. Lerma, however, might prove an exception as he has a history of being able to produce 8-9 points and come up with an attacking return once in a while.
Evanilson (F, Bournemouth)
Our final player from the Monday game is former Porto striker, Brazilian, Evanlison. He came in to replace Solanke with a LOT of hype but has failed to deliver so far. He managed to compound the misery for his managers with a penalty miss against Chelsea two GWs ago. He is facing competition from fit-again Enes Unal, but he has every chance to haul this GW. He is well in the last straw territory but still represents great value for this GW given the opposition.
Jota Silva (F, Nottingham Forest)
Joao Pedro Ferreira da Silva in Fantrax, to his friends, Jota Silva, to us, he is just Portu-Grealish. Moreover, we have to remind ourselves almost weekly, that the young Portuguese attacker is not, in fact, a Wolves player. He plays for Forest and managed to bag an assist from the bench in the highly impressive draw with Brighton. With MGW suspended, an attacking spot is up for grabs, and Silva is first in line after impressive cameos in recent weeks. Fulham at home is no easy fixture, but Forest ae slowly but surely establishing themselves as a very strong mid table team and it is most likely thanks to their great attack. Historically, they are also great at home. It is unlikely you are struggling for frwards, but keep an eye on Silva as his impressive performances might earn him a prolonged shift in the starting XI.
