Waiver Wire Gameweek 29
Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 29 targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!
GW29 is the first "bigger" Blank GW of the season with Liverpool and Newcastle playing the League Cup final next weekend, their opponents Villa and Palace also blank this upcoming weekend. The Ivorian has started 6 games
Emmanuel Agbadou (Ros 5%)
Prospects: One of 2 African January signings by Wolves to make this list, the central defender has stepped up since his introduction in a position in which help was badly needed after Mosquera's early season injury. He already has 6 starts under his belt and besides expected poor points away at big dogs Liverpool, Newcastle and Chelsea, he has impressed in monster performances against Arsenal and Villa. His great performances have been propped up by clearances, aerials, and tackles as expected from big centre backs. The upcoming fixtures look like they are from a fantasy manager's dream: Southampton, West Ham, Ipswich, Tottenham, Man United, & Leicester. Despite being quite erratic, Wolves have a chance to keep a few clean sheets in this run, so Agbadou could be a longer term hold.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 2-3 FAB to get him.
Ryan Manning (Ros 1%)
Prospects: The Southampton wing-back has shown a few times that he has the capabilities to ghost and get great scores. The issue is that with Southampton conceding for fun even great ghosts can't mask the utter crap that is this season's Saints team. There are very few teams I would venture recommending a Saints defender against, but a Cunha-less Wolves is one of them. Manning managed 8.25 in a 3-1 loss against Liverpool last week, he could build on that performance to get a decent score this weekend.
Verdict:Â I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
Marshall Munetsi (Ros 22%)
Prospects: The Zimbabwean was supposedly a defensive midfielder at Reims, but crossing the Channel has made him a viable attacking midfielder it seems. He already has a goal and an assist in 3 starts and while Cunha is out, he looks like the one taking picking up the attacking slack in the Brazilian's stead. We have already mentioned the peach of a schedule Wolves are about to embark on and while I don't expect them to become a free scoring goal machine, Munetsi should have his chances in the upcoming games.
