Waiver Wire Gameweek 10
Here we outline our Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Gameweek 10 targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!
Ezri Konsa (Ros 23%)
Prospects: Aston Villa have won 11 consecutive Premier League home games under Unai Emery, scoring 31 goals, conceding 5, and keeping 6 clean sheets in the process. Villa Park has become a fortress and next game the Villans welcome promoted boys Luton Town, who sit only one point outside the relegation zone. Konsa isn’t typically a great ghost point player (5.4 gPPS this season), but a positive note is that approximately 60% of his points have come at home. He has attempted 5 shots (2 shots on target) in his last 4 games, so he could be a threat at both ends of the pitch. Aston Villa also have the 2nd best fixture for DEFs in the Fixture Difficulty Tracker.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
Jamaal Lascelles (Ros 15%)
Prospects: How long are we going to believe Eddie Howe? Sven Botman could be out longer than previously expected, so why not find the next best option into one of the best defences in the league? Newcastle are strong at St. James' Park, having kept 3 clean sheets in their last 3 home games. Lascelles has played 90 minutes in his last 3 appearances and currently averages just under 7 ghost points per game. Since he returned to the first team, three gameweeks ago, Lascelles leads the Newcastle DEFs in aerials (15) and blocked shots (3). The Magpies also have a decent chance of a clean sheet given Wolves are 15th in the Home form table.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 1-3 FAB to get him.
Matheus Franca (Ros 6%)
Prospects: The Eagles have been very unlucky with injuries to their attacking players, but new Brazilian signing Matheus Franca is finally fully recovered from his injury. Franca made his first appearance off the bench and had an immediate impact, having registered 3 key passes and 1 shot vs Newcastle away. It should also be noted that Franca took 4 corners during his 19 minute cameo. An exciting FWD with an easy route to points, Franca is definitely a FWD to own for the coming gameweeks, especially with poor defensive teams like Burnley and Luton in Crystal Palace's next four fixtures.
Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 4-6 FAB to get him.
David Brooks (Ros 5%)
Prospects: Iraola is under pressure as Bournemouth are one of two teams to have not won any games for the season - joint with Sheffield United. The Cherries have scored the fewest goals this season (6) but luckily face 18th placed Burnley, who have conceded the 2nd most goals (23) in the league. According to the Fixture Difficulty Tracker, Bournemouth have the 3rd easiest fixture for MIDs in GW10. Brooks started his 2nd game all season (GW9) and registered 7 ghost points in 56 minutes. This included 1 key pass, 1 shot on target, 2 tackles won and 1 interception. Brooks already has 1 goal for the season and will be looking to help his team earn a much-needed win versus a relegation rival.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver pick or 0-1 FAB to get him.
Zeki Amdouni (Ros 15%)
Prospects: Burnley’s start to the season was difficult to say the least. Their fixtures are finally getting easier, and it should be noted that the Clarets already have 1 win and 1 draw versus fellow relegation candidates such as Luton Town and Nottingham Forest, respectively. Bournemouth have conceded 20 goals for the season and have conceded the 3rd most home goals (9). Although Amdouni only has 1 goal this season, he has attempted the most shots (15), the most shots on target (7) and 2nd most successful dribbles of all Burnley outfielders. If Burnley score, there’s a chance Amdouni could be involved.
Verdict: I would use a low waiver pick or 1-3 FAB to get him.
