Gameweek 7 Waiver Wire
Here we outline Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!
Romain Perraud
Position: Defender
Team: Southampton
Rostered: 9%
Next 3 Fixtures: BRE, @AVL, EVE
Prospects: Perraud started the season with a little niggle and Djenepo was an able deputy, but Perraud came in and performed well in the last 2 games. With easier fixtures coming up, he looks like a decent stream for the next few weeks with decent CS potential.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0-3 FAB to get him.
Cheick Doucoure
Position: Midfielder
Team: Crystal Palace
Rostered: 9%
Next 3 Fixtures: MUN, @BHA, CHE
Prospects: Doucoure has been a revelation in real life and recently in fantasy too. Could he be the new Gallagher? Not so fast, but definitely one to keep an eye on. A tackle, key pass and interception fueled 16.5 ghost points against Newcastle may end up being his high point for the season, but even with that being the case he will do well to anchor your midfield as a decent MID4.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 1-5 FAB to get him.
Enock Mwepu
Position: Midfielder
Team: Brighton
Rostered: 9%
Next 3 Fixtures: @BOU, CRY, @LIV
Prospects: I am Totti and I am a Mwepuholic. I will be the first to admit that I am biased towards the Zambian midfielder. As is the case with much of the Brighton midfield, he is a rotation risk. But Brighton are flying high and scoring for fun, and Mwepu is getting into great positions. I will punt on him in my leagues.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0-3 FAB to get him.
Sergio Gomez
Position: Midfielder
Team: Man City
Rostered: 4%
Next 3 Fixtures: TOT, @WOL, MUN
Prospects: Gomez came on for Cancelo against Forest for 21 minutes in GW6 and was very lively. More importantly, he was on corners. Walker is reportedly injured and could be out for the weekend, which will most likely see Cancelo deputize on the right, with Gomez potentially starting on the left. With City seemingly allergic to keeping a clean sheet, the fact that Gomez came in as a midfielder actually matters less, though he will miss out on the bonus if City do manage to keep Spurs out. With Walker's injury reportedly minor, Gomez is nothing more than a 1-2 week punt.
Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver claim or 0-3 FAB to get him.
