Gameweek 4 Waiver Wire

Here we outline Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!

Rasmus Kristensen

Position: Defender

Team: Leeds

Rostered: 26%

Next 3 Fixtures: BHA (A), EVE (H), BRF (A)

Prospects: It looks like Rasmus was subject to PDS (Premature Drop Syndrome) last week, after mediocre scores in GW1 and 2, he was facing Chelsea, so why not drop? Well, he repaid the faith of the few managers who did not drop him with a CS-assisted, ghost-positive 14.25 score. Leeds look like a team reborn and the next 3 fixtures offer defensive and attacking potential in abundance, pounce on Rasmus to get on the Leeds train.

Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver pick or 0-3 FAB to get him.

Pervis Estupinan

Position: Defender

Team: Brighton

Rostered: 16%

Next 3 Fixtures: LEE (H), FUL (A), LEI (A)

Prospects: The Brighton new boy flashed a bit of what is to come in his 26 minute cameo where he collected a very commendable 4.75 points. It looks like he will be integrated quickly in the lineup and offer attacking and defensive return potential on a very well-put-together Brighton team. Is this their year? Who knows, but expect Estupinan to grow from strength to strength to reach last year Cucurella levels.

Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver pick or 10-15 FAB to get him.

Davinson Sanchez

Position: Defender

Team: Tottenham

Rostered: 24%

Next 3 Fixtures: NOT (A), WHU (A), FUL (H)

Prospects: Sanchez is a stop-gap, while Romero is out injured, but he has done a fine job subbing, so much so, that last year's stats suggest Spurs might be better off going with Sanchez as a long-term solution. As much as I do not expect that to actually happen, Sanchez is the highest upside pickup for all the weeks when Romero is missing as he bosses defensive ghost points and has a very good chance of a CS every week. Pick him up and ride his point hauls until Romero is back.

Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver pick or 0-3 FAB to get him.

Fabio Carvalho

Position: Midfielder

Team: Liverpool

Rostered: 16%

Next 3 Fixtures: BOU (H), NEW (H), EVE (A)

Prospects: Carvalho was one of the very few bright sparks in a woeful Liverpool performance on Monday night. Some even suggest that if his sub was made earlier, Liverpool could have had a better shot at equalising. His darting runs into the box and diagonal runs across the middle of the pitch were a sight to behold and asked questions of the United defence that they struggled to answer. 8.5 ghosts from a sub performance will have managers alerted to his presence. Klopp will have a hard time keeping him out of the lineup for long. As long as the midfield injury crisis continues, he will offer value, so even if he doesn't start at the weekend, he is worth holding for a few more weeks.

Verdict: I would use a low-end waiver pick or 0-3 FAB to get him.
