Gameweek 4 Waiver Wire
Here we outline Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Targets that have 40% ownership or below on Fantrax. These are the low ownership players who could perform very well over the upcoming period!
Seamus Coleman
Position: Defender
Team: Everton
Ownership: 32%
Next 3 Fixtures: BUR (H), avl (A), NOR (H)
Prospects: Coleman won a penalty and kept a clean sheet in the win over Brighton. The Everton right back scored 18.5 points and could see another strong return in his next three fixtures. Coleman loves to get forward and pump in crosses, but also knows how to rack up defensive stats as well. He should offer DEF2 value over the next month while Everton still have easier fixtures. Everton finally kept their first clean sheet of the season and they will be hoping to pick up another one in gameweek 4 at home to Burnley.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver claim or 2-3% of my FAB on Coleman.
Marc Albrighton
Position: Midfielder
Team: Leicester City
Ownership: 19%
Next 3 Fixtures: MCI (H), bha (A), BUR (H)
Prospects: Albrighton repaid Rodgers's faith in him by scoring the winning goal this weekend against Norwich. Whenever Albrighton is in the XI, he is a must start for me in fantasy. He always has a solid floor due to his work rate and monopoly of corner-taking duties. Even against Manchester City, I think Albrighton could see a decent return given his high floor. Ayoze Perez will be available for Leicester's next game, but I expect Albrighton to retain his place at least for the next couple of weeks. When Albrighton starts he is a MID4 with MID2 upside.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver claim or 2-5% of my FAB on Albrighton.
Danny Welbeck
Position: Forward
Team: Brighton
Ownership: 7%
Next 5 Fixtures: bre (A), LEI (H), cry (A)
Prospects: Welbeck got his first minutes of the season this past gameweek, and could push for a start after the international break. Welbeck has been a good signing for Brighton and they could really use his firepower upfront over the next few weeks. If Welbeck starts he is a solid FWD3 to add in your squad especially with some decent fixtures coming up.
Verdict: I would use a low-tier waiver claim or 0-2% of my FAB on Welbeck.
Mohamed Elyounoussi
Position: Midfielder
Team: Southampton
Ownership: 6%
Next 5 Fixtures: WHU (H), mci (A), WOL (H)
Prospects: Elyounoussi scored 22.5 points and a goal in the draw against Newcastle. He should retain his spot over Redmond for the foreseeable future given his last two performances for the Saints (including his impressive cup showing). Elyounoussi could offer MID4 value as long as he continues in the XI, and give the Saints some much-needed firepower after losing Ings this summer. He is definitely looking to make a name for himself to keep his spot, and could offer you MID2 upside in easier matchups.
Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver claim or 5-7% of my FAB on Elyounoussi.
