Gameweek 38 Waiver Wire
Here we outline Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Targets that have 40% rostered or below on Fantrax. These players should perform well over the upcoming period!
Felipe
Position: Defender
Team: Nottingham Forest
Rostered: 27%
Next Fixture: CRY (A)
Prospects: Can a half-season cement a player as a draft legend? If so, Felipe is well and truly on the way to becoming one on the basis of his exploits since January. A perennial Ghost Point Hunter who occasionally pops up with an attacking return. What else could one ask for? Well clean sheets, Forest could keep clean sheets. But we don't want to be greedy. Felipe is well and truly on his way to being a clean-sheet-less legend. Pick him for the final day and enjoy him bossing the Palace attack and eventually conceding.
Verdict: I would use any waiver pick and all the FAB on him.
Abdoulaye Doucoure
Position: Midfielder
Team: Everton
Rostered: 30%
Next Fixture: BOU (H)
Prospects: Our love/hate relationship with the OG Count Doucu is well documented. We love his powerful attacking play, and we love his darting runs into the box but we also hate when his stock rises to KDB levels after a few goal/assist-propped performances. And here we are. 2 goals against Brighton for 26.5 points capped a run of 3 double-digit scores on the bounce for him to push the Doucoure love into overdrive. Since then he posted a measly 2.5 and 4 points in the last 2 games. Against Bournemouth, on the final day of the season, in a win-and-in situation, I would back him to grab a hold of the game and boss the midfield.
Verdict: I would use any waiver pick and all the FAB on him.
Bobby Firmino
Position: Forward
Team: Liverpool
Rostered: 65%
Next Fixture: SOU (A)
Prospects: Technically, he does not qualify for our under 40% rule, but this may be the last time I can write about a true draft legend with legitimate fantasy relevance. Bobby has not started a game in aeons. He has been injured, out of the team, or a combination of both for a long, long time. However, he did manage to get a fairytale goodbye in front of the Kop last week as he scored in the dying seconds of the game against Villa to level the score and keep the faintest of hope for CL qualification alive. With his last ever game for Liverpool coming up at the weekend, everyone will hope that Klopp gives him the farewell he deserves.
Verdict: I would use any waiver pick and all the FAB on him.
Reiss Nelson
Position: Forward
Team: Arsenal
Rostered: 5%
Next Fixture: WOL (H)
Prospects: It is unfortunate that Nelson's last-minute heroics this season did not end up getting Arsenal the title as this way they might be forgotten and written off in a season that ended just short of a miracle. Those winter cameos are still fresh in our minds and we can't help but think Arteta will give him a chance to take in the Emirates lap of honour one last time before he leaves in search of first-team opportunities elsewhere.
Verdict: I would use any waiver pick and all the FAB on him.
