Gameweek 12 Waiver Wire

Here we outline Fantasy EPL Waiver Wire Targets that have 40% ownership or below on Fantrax.  These are the low ownership players who could perform very well over the upcoming period!

Cristian Romero

Position: Defender

Team: Tottenham

Rostered: 40%

Next 3 Fixtures: Leeds (H), Burnley (A), Brentford (H)

Prospects: There is a theme here - pick up Tottenham defenders given Conte's arrival and a lovely run of fixtures. Romero is the pick of the litter, coming in just under 40% rostered. He produced a tasty 15.5 points (with a yellow card) in Conte's debut over the weekend. And he should be even more active as he gets used to the Conte system. The schedule is a bonus and makes Romero a premium defensive asset at least over this stretch.

Verdict: I would use a mid-tier waiver claim or about 5-8% of my FAB on Romero.

Ross Barkley

Position: Midfielder

Team: Chelsea

Rostered: 30%

Next 3 Fixtures: Leicester (Away), Man Utd (Home), Watford (Away)

Prospects: Barkley became the 2935th player to get a start in the Chelsea lineup this season. Tuchel has finally rewarded him for his productive cameos with the nod v Burnley. And the GOAT streamer did not disappoint, dropping 15 ghost points and was unlucky to not get an attacking return (CHO couldn't convert a few of his Key Passes and Barkley missed a good chance of his own right before getting hooked). If - and it's a big if - Barkley can get another start in the near future, he is a must stream. With Mount and others coming back, he'll likely revert back to the bench. Either way, Barkley will see some time in the festive season and will be good to have on the roster.

Verdict: I would use a very low-tier waiver claim (0-2% of my FAB) on Barkley.

Jan Bednarek

Position: Defender

Team: Saints

Rostered: 17%

Next 3 Fixtures: Norwich City (Away), Liverpool (Away), Leicester (Home)

Prospects: The big Polish defender has been fairly spotty this season, but so has the Southampton defense. However, the Saints have notched clean sheets in 3 of their last 4 and have a date with lowly Norwich City upcoming. Fantasy-wise, Bednarek has been impressive of late, scoring 19.25 and 12.5 in the past 2 games. And while Salisu usually scores better, Bednarek should be a good streamer against Norwich in GW12. He becomes droppable after that.

Verdict: I would use a very low-tier waiver claim or about 1-3% of my FAB on Jan Bednarek.

Eric Dier

Position: Defender

Team: Tottenham

Rostered: 36%

Next 3 Fixtures: Leeds (Home), Burnley (Away), Brentford (Home)

Prospects: As promised, the Tottenham defender theme continues. Dier has shown flashes of point production in the past. The same things that point in Romero's favor do the same for Dier - Conte and the schedule - even if he will likely score lower than his colleague. He should be a decent streamer over the next few weeks.

Verdict: I would use a very low-tier waiver claim or about 1-3% of my FAB on Dier.
